We celebrated Sawyer's First Birthday with a dinner party surrounded by our closest friends and family. We were thrilled to have Eleanor (she will celebrate her 93rd Birthday in August), Doris, and Steve join us from New Hampshire to celebrate. We had a wonderful time visiting, watching the children play, and catching up with everyone. We know Sawyer is a bit of a wild man, so he had his own little personal cake with the letter "S" on it for him to dig into! To our surprise he started off very dainty...picking off the colored sprinkles one by one. His First Birthday Party was marked by him steadily standing on his feet alone for over a minute. As he stood there, he beamed from ear to ear as everyone cheered him on. He was so proud of himself. It's hard to believe a year has already passed. Happy Birthday Sawyer!
