Open Gym with Friends
Sawyer, Kate, Cole and Natalie at playing at open gym
Saturday morning we met up with Natalie, Joel and Kate along with Jen and Griffin for some fun at the YMCA open gym for kids. Much to our surprise the open gym program wasn't scheduled to start until next Saturday, but the gym wasn't being used for anything else so they let us pull out all the kids stuff and we had the whole place to ourselves!

Cole's 1st Fish!
Uncle Junie introduced Cole to the sport of fishing during our trip to Little Lake Sunapee at the beginning of the month and helped him reel in his first "big one". Cole has been talking about his big fish ever since. Thank you Junie for taking the time to show Cole how to fish and creating a special memory for him.

Fun on the Farm!
Sawyer with the baby chickens
Cole carefully eating his maple creamie!
Sawyer grinning with excitement as he eats his maple creamie!
So...it August in Vermont...you have a beach day planned...and the forcasted high temperature is a chili 67 degrees and partly sunny...back up plan...a day at the farm! We spent the morning at Allenholm in South Hero with Nana, Grandma, Chris and my friend Jen and her son Clay (Sawyer's little buddy). The kids had a blast playing on the tractor, going down the slides, petting the animals and eating maple creamies! For anyone that has never been to Allenholm for a $1 kiddie size maple creamie...hop in your car...it's worth the trip.

Santa's Village
We had a wonderful family day trip to Santa's Village in Jefferson, NH with the kiddos, Sara (our family helper) and my cousin Kristian meeting us for the day. We played hard from when we arrived at 10:30 a.m. until when we left at 5:30 with two very exhausted children. Cole loved all the rides including Rudy's Rapid Rollercoaster, Santa's Skyway Sleigh, Yule Log Flume and the Old Time Cars. There was nothing that Cole wasn't big enough to try which made him feel like a very big boy!
