The snow from the snowstorm melted as fast as it fell and left a few good mud puddles for the boys to play in...lots of laundry this week! The boys have had a blast putting on their rain boots and heading for the puddles.

Monday we started to hear reports that there was going to be snow in the mountains Tuesday night into Wednesday...up to 6-12"...never taking in to consideration that might include us! The snow arrived...fell hard...and stuck until 12" was piled at our house. The heavy snow weighed down tree branches and caused wide spread power outages. No power...no water...no heat. Now we know why many of our neighbors have generators!

We had Uncle Mark over for dinner to celebrate his birthday! No birthday dinner is complete when there are kids around without cake!

We have a had a fun few days with Grandma Cudney around. Tonight we went for an early dinner at one of our favorite family restaurants...Junior's and had enough time to go to the waterfront for an evening walk by Lake Champlain. We ended the evening with a trip to Church Street for some Ben & Jerry's...yummy!

An Email from Special Friends!

The boys were greeted by a special email from their friends Carroll and Sam. They were adorable watching their animated card. Thanks for thinking of ours boys Carroll and Sam! We can't wait to have you back!

Grandma Cudney is visiting from New York this week to help out with the kids while we work as Nono and Nana are on vacation in Florida. I think after two days of taking care of the kids she is wondering how Nana and Nono do it two days a week!

It's always nice to spend a Saturday night home with good friends...and as you can see Sawyer and Kate enjoyed playing together and ended the night with a goodnight hug. It was great to see you Natalie and Joel!

We celebrated Nono's Birthday with a yummy dinner (Indian Butter Chicken) and cake! It was our first family gathering since moving into the new house.

"I hope you don't mind I bought something"

"I hope you don't mind I bought something"...the words from Ken's mouth after returning from a trip to Home Depot this week. With a new workshop on his mind and a 3 acres of land, the sky was the limit as far as what he might have purchased from Home Depot...a new saw, a tractor??? To my surprise, it was a new tire swing for the boys...or maybe for Ken (see pictures). Ken has fond memories from his childhood of a tire swing at one of his childhood friend's houses and had the tree in mind when he spotted the tire swing at Home Depot. The tire swing has been a big hit with the boys and us too!
