Part One: Party Weekend

We spent the weekend celebrating Cole's third birthday and I mean the whole weekend! We were excited to have Grandma Cudney and cousin Chris at our house to help us celebrate the big weekend. Saturday afternoon was Cole's party with all his buddies which we hosted at BCA (Burlington City Arts). The children had the opportunity to play with clay, paint, glitter, scissors, etc. and there was no mess for mommies to pick up! The party was a big hit with Cole, his friends, and the mommies and daddies. We brought a blank canvas and each of his friends put there hand prints on it. The picture will hang in Cole's room so he can have something special to remember his third birthday and think of all his friends. The kids made pinch bowls from clay and decorated a large paper guitar. Just so we can remember down the road his buddies at his third birthday were: Alexa and Zoe, Acadia, Aiden, Christopher, Erin, Greta, Griffin, James, Nick and Sean! Cole was thrilled when we brought out his birthday cake...a big green dinosaur. It was hard to decide how to handle the birthday party dilemma this year. Have a small party with a few of Cole's friends? A big party? A party with family only? I really decided it wasn't about the party, but a way of thanking our friends and family for there friendships and for all they give to us throughout the year.
