Cole had been talking for sometime about getting bunk beds. It was not uncommon to hear him tell random people that we meet, "when I get bigger, I'm gonna get BUNKBEDS!" From our perspective, it made sense, as we plan to have Cole and Sawyer share a room when Sawyer transitions out of his crib next year. There was an adorable set of bunk beds that happened to go on sale prior to Cole's Birthday, so we decided to pick them up. Ken set them up in Cole's room without him knowing and later we went up stairs with him. Cole walked by the guest room where he noticed a large piece of his "choo choo" train bed and said, "Dad, what did you do to my choo choo train bed?" Ken replied, "Go in your room and see". Cole entered his room, turned the corner, and stopped in his tracks. His eyes bulged from his head and he was speechless. Then he looked to daddy and said with a big grin, "I got bunk beds". It was the most adorable moment to see. He spent the evening climbing up and down that ladder many, many times...and as proud as could be doing it.
