It was the best Mother's Day gift a mommy could wish for: Both kids sleeping all night in their own beds and not waking until 6:30 a.m., followed by breakfast in bed! We decided to have a low key day and just simply enjoy playing at home with the boys for a while in the morning followed by an outdoor adventure in the afternoon. Our adventure took us to Indian Brook Pond in Essex where a 45 minute walk without kids in tow turned into a 2 hours plus stroll! Cole enjoyed the puddles, mud, beaver pond, bridges, salamander, and sticks. Sawyer was happy to be hanging out in the backpack where he a bird's eye view! For mid May, however, the day left us chilled as in need for some hot cocoa to warm us up! It was so nice to have a relaxing day with the boys and enjoy being Mommy!
